Mon 17 Sep 2012 – John Hayes appointed Brand Ambassador for Irish Hereford Prime

Munster and Irish rugby hero John Hayes has recently been appointed Brand Ambassador by Irish Hereford Prime in association with ABP Ireland and Pallas Foods. The Bull’s first public appearance as ambassador was in Newcastle West, Co Limerick on Sunday (16/09/12) where he played a star role in TheTaste of Westfest, the town’s annual festival and celebration of quality Irish food. Festival goers sampled the tender and flavoursome Irish Hereford Prime beef, which is proudly showcased on the menus of Ireland’s finest restaurants.
John was a natural choice to serve as ambassador as he rears Hereford cattle on his family farm in Cappamore, Co Limerick. According to Irish Hereford Prime chairman, Niall O’Mahony ‘John Hayes is a role model who embodies the best spirit of the Irish Hereford beef farmer’. Irish Hereford Prime are a group of 800 Irish beef farmers who supply premium quality Hereford beef to restaurants and retailers through an exclusive agreement with ABP Ireland and Pallas Foods.
Hereford beef is renowned for its superior flavour and tenderness due to its natural fine grained marbling of fat in addition it is processed using patented ‘ultra-tender’ techniques and is matured for a minimum of 28 days. Irish Hereford Prime beef has received several awards throughout the years and was voted ‘World’s best Steak’ by the renowned magazine Beef! following taste tests from eight major beef producing countries.
