The McKenna family, like so many Northern Ireland farming families, traditionally produced beef to the highest standards. ABP choose to have a group of farming families produce livestock reared to an exacting specification and prepared with ABP’s patented processes to offer a unique product range.

In 2010, ABP Newry, in conjunction with local producers revived the McKenna UK Beef project to reward the efforts’ of a dedicated group of local producers. Experienced farmers rear cattle in accordance with an exacting specification, designed to produce consistently high quality beef throughout the seasons.
